This mindset has been in our DNA since day one. Our Founder, Sam Abrahart, launched The Mayfair Group in 2017. After years of struggling with her mental health, she sought to create a more meaningful life through uplifting content and a digital safe space.

I wanted to share Mayfair's origin story in hopes it helps you to understand who we are and how we came to be. In 2017, I was navigating a dark depressive episode. I was constantly looking for places or people on the internet that I could relate to, which at the time time, felt near to impossible. It was during the time that my idea for The Mayfair Group came to be - a digital safe space that could help people feel less alone. I wanted to create something that EVERYONE could be a part of, and what Mayfair has become is beyond my wildest dreams. It is powerful to know that what relates us all to each other is what we wake up everyday searching for human connection, love, and feel seen and understood for who we really are.
One of the most important forms of advocacy is our ability to create those safe spaces in our everyday life. Mayfair was built on this idea and it continues to be one of the company's main pillars. I wanted to write a personal thank you to each of YOU. Thank you for believing in us and continuing to support this mission. Our hope is that our campaigns create a ripple effect of positivity and can be used as a catalyst for conversation and change. We believe that through this messaging, our mission, and direct advocacy efforts such as our Mayfair World Fund, we can create a safe space for our community and help people feel like they belong.
